As an internal collaborative platform, AYMINGSPHERE ensures that partners have access to adequate resources, monitoring and planning procedures for an efficient management of the whole technological work carried out in the framework of the EXCEED project.

D1.5 – Report on ethical issues based on Regulation No 428/2009

This deliverable is confidential to the Consortium members and European Defence Agency as funder of the project.

This Deliverable 1.5 – Report on ethical issues based on Regulation N° 428/2009 is delivered in the context of Task 1.3 – Ethics management. It explains how EXCEED will consider the ethical issues based on Regulation N° 428/2009 on EU’s export control regime for dual-use items. Indeed, within EXCEED, dual-use items, listed in Annex I of Regulation N° 428/2009, are going to be used in the project as the System on Chip (SoC) and System in Package (SiP) solutions developed within this project will address the needs of both civil and military users.

Within this deliverable, the consortium presents the legal context surrounding dual use of technology and Horizon 2020 project outputs, and introduces then the EXCEED’s strategy, in order to comply with the international, European and national regulations.

This deliverable is the version 1 of the Report on ethical issues, two further versions will be released, version #2 together with periodic report, version #3 together with final report.
