Workpackage 3

Workpackage 3 collects the user (OEMs) needs and experience background in order to provide a baseline that steers the following WPs (successors) and the definition and maintenance of the roadmap towards a European supply chain for secure high performance digital SoC/SiP.

D3.1 – Requirement Specifications

This deliverable is confidential to the Consortium members and European Defence Agency as funder of the project.

The main objectives of this deliverable are to:

  • provide a conceptual definition of a digital reprogrammable System on Chip and a common set of terms and definitions to address the SoC, its internal functions and subsystems, etc.
  • analyse the needs of the Aerospace & Defence industry as far as the SoC technology is concerned, based on a set of target applications that use such technology.
  • define a requirement’s baseline to be used for the architecture design, prototyping, evaluation & test and assessment of results and gaps within the EXCEED project.
D3.2 – Test plan

This deliverable is confidential to the Consortium members and European Defence Agency as funder of the project.

The Test Plan establishes the planning foundation to demonstrate that a subset of identified SoC requirements brought to verification on the demonstrator have been satisfied i.e. the system and all its elements perform their intended functions and meet any performance requirements allocated to them – the system has been built right.

The main objectives of this deliverable are to:

  • Identify the scope of the demonstrator and of the evaluation activities that shall be performed on the demonstrator
  • Select a subset of features and functions of the full requirements specification to be verified by using the Demonstrator/Evaluation Board aggregated by Use Cases scope.
  • Based on the features and functions that will be brought to verification, Describe the System Test Environment to be used (SW/HW/FW items, instruments/emulators/simulators/stimulus) at the first level of detail.

For final Test Environment, further information can be found in D4.4 – Test Tool Architecture

D3.3 – Evaluation Board Functional Blocks Report

This deliverable is confidential to the Consortium members and European Defence Agency as funder of the project.

The deliverable D3.3 – Evaluation board functional blocks report is delivered in the context of Task 3.3: Definition of evaluation board (EVB) requirements and specifications, within Work Package 3 – Specifications.

The main objective of this deliverable is to gather all information from security (Work Package 2), architecture (Work Package 4) and technology development (Work Package 6) and prepare the list of requirements and functional blocks that will be used as a guide for the manufacturing of the board (Work Package 7).

This deliverable is structured in 2 main sections:

  • Requirements
  • Functional blocks

Requirements

This section will go through all the requirements identified that are necessary for the board, to be able to test the demonstrator. All use cases are provided with the necessary functionality for their successful execution.

Functional Blocks

The section describes in detail all the functional blocks that will compose the board. The connectors and features of each block are presented in detail.
